What operating systems are supported?

MathMedia Online supports Windows 2000 SP4 or higher, Windows XP SP2 or higher, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

 

MathMedia Arithmetic Online also supports MAC OS X, Safari 3.0 and higher browser.

 

What are the optimal machine settings for MathMedia Online?

MathMedia Online has been designed with default Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher settings in mind. MathMedia Online supports Windows 2000 SP4 or higher, Windows XP SP2 or higher and Windows 7.

 

MathMedia Arithmetic Online for MAC requires Safari 3.0 and higher and the Quick Time player.

What browsers are supported by MathMedia Online?

MathMedia Online supports Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1 or higher. Users will need to add the MathMedia Online domain to their trusted sites zone in Internet Explorer to permit fast and easy access to the content. How do I view activity reports?

To receive specific instructions on how to view reports, email support@mathmedia.com.
Please include your User ID and your email address.

 

Are there any options for sorting activity reports?

The best way to vary the way reports are sorted is to copy the content of the online report and paste the content into Microsoft Excel. Use Microsoft Excel's sorting options to modify report display. For example, you may want to sort by section title instead of last name.

Where can I download the Neuron plugin?

MathMedia Online requires Neuron 9.0 to run. To download Neuron 9.0 click this link:

Why is Toolbook Neuron not loading?

If after clicking on the User Login button, the program does not progress past the "Please wait, Loading Toolbook Neuron" screen, delete the "Temporary Internet Files" in the Internet Explorer browser. This will usually solve the problem.

  1. From the Tools Menu, select Internet Options.
  2. From the General Tab, click on Delete Files from the Temporary Internet Options section (IE6, IE7), or Delete from the Browsing History section (IE8).
  3. Exit Internet Explorer.
  4. Reboot your computer.

 

Why do I see a prompt when I access MathMedia Online?

When navigating to a page with an https:// prefix you may see a prompt notifying you of the extra secure zone you are navigating to. A notice may also appear when you navigate away from the secure page to another web page. These are just notifications and do not indicate that there is any danger or threat to your machine.

 

Why do I see a Microsoft Security Alert when I access MathMedia Online?

If you see a Security Alert asking for verification before proceeding you might be trying to access MathMedia Online without the www prefix (for example, https://mathmediaonline.com instead of https://www.mathmediaonline.com). Be assured, the certificate for MathMedia Online is secure and valid. If you see the Security Alert, click the Yes option to proceed. Using the www prefix will allow access to the content without any security alerts.

 

Why do I receive a message saying "Invalid User ID" when I try to login?

Verify that you are using the correct User ID. If you have forgotten your User ID number, email support@mathmedia.com

 

Why do I see a red "X" when I try to access MathMedia Online?

After installing Neuron and adding the MathMedia Online domain to the trusted sites zone, some users have been unable to access the content and instead experienced a situation shown in the picture below.

This problem can be solved by downloading a registry patch for Neuron. If you are experiencing this issue, download and unzip the patch for Neuron. After unzipping the file, double-click the file named neuron_patch.reg to allow Neuron to run in Internet Explorer.
